I think the statistics for females might improve if they drove sensible sized cars instead of these monsterous tank like SUVs that they seem to love owning but have little idea how to control.

My fiance had her brand bew Yaris less than a week before she reversed it into the fence outside our house (we had lived there for 8 months previously).
I, however, had my Clio 18 months before i lost control after some plum pulled out on me and spun it, twatted the kerb and did 3400 quids worth of damage !!

It's a muppet thing, I understand if you can't relate to it.
Yes I am the same Michelle from there, but that email address shouldn't be there.
Aaaah no, I know why, it's in my MSN profile. :cool;

Women are almost twice as likely as men to have a collision in a car park, 23 per cent more likely to hit a stationary car and 15 per cent more likely to reverse into another vehicle......

100% agree but these scuffles are resolved with cash payments to pay for painting, dent repair, etc and never go through the insurance and as a result never become a statistic. When guys crash they make a proper job of it and involve big payouts, etc and so statistically are worse drivers even though in reality women go round twating into everything and anything

Men, however, ... are involved in more head-on collisions, kill more pedestrians and are 27 per cent more likely to hit a barrier or wall.
Like Saxo boy said, At least we do it properly (Not condoning the killing more padestrians bit thou! )

its not that at all - more like women have fewer recorded accidents as they're always named drivers on their husbands / boyfriends policy so it goes down as a claim on the guys policy even though it was the dozy bitches fault all along - probably applying lipstick in the rear view mirror or trying to figure out what all the buttons do on the dash!!!

I think the fact is missing a bit, it think it should be...
Men, however, ... are involved in more head-on collisions, kill more pedestrians and are 27 per cent more likely to hit a barrier or wall, although this seems to be due to the high rate of women drivers who insist on driving at high speed in reverse with the intention of hitting everything in sight.

I once read that men are *safer* drivers if you calculate accidents against miles driven. It's becuase we are insured per unit of time rather than per distance travelled that men seem higher risk than women. lets face it, most women only use the car to pop out to sainsbury's and habitat, and they still manage to kerb the alloys.

yep, its the typical scenario
Women and bloke in car, women driving, trying to park in sainsbury's car park
Bloke: Your rather close
woman: Rubbish
Bloke: Stop
woman: WHAT NOW?
Bloke: Your gonna hit that car!
Woman: Don't be daft, theres miles or room!
Bloke: WATCH OU.......
CRUNCH
Bloke: Oh great one! I told you...
Woman: SHUT UP, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!
Bloke: eh?
Woman: You distracted me!

It only took my ex about 45 mins to curb my new alloys (and I mean 45 mins after they had been fitted!) - on the upside I got whatever I wanted for a few weeks and she paid for the refurb!!!

In a word....no.
You don't want to know what my original alter ego has.
I have been off sick with a long term illness for quite a while now and am still recovering.
In the mean time I am taking up photography, writing a novel, drawing/painting and doing some technical authoring as well as looking after my new website forums.

I have had three accidents in my driving career, two serious, one minor. The minor one involved another car.
But statistics count for **** all. It is all down to the individual.
For example, because I have a Downs Syndrome sister, I am apparently many, many times more likely statistically wise to have a disabled child myself. But, if I ask what are my exact chances as an individual, who knows???? It is all down to chance.
With the way I drive, I should have the statistics of a male driver not a female driver.
