Please don't get me wrong ..... speeding kills people!!

What I object to is the fact that:-

1. Was 60mph now 40mph!! Random??

2. Coppas HIDING in bushes!!

3. NO speed camera signs at all

4. Its ME!!!

I was speeding - about 50 in a 40 ... which WAS 60 not long ago!! So, I MUST be punished!!

Driving along a country road, just been made a 40mph limit, when a car coming towards me flashes his lights and waves ......... I am too busy trying to work out who it was that I fail to see the 2 prize ***** coppas hiding in the bushes!!!!

Now, they are pointing something at me - looks like a radar gun but appears to have a camera on it?? It was hand-held, is there such a device??

I reckon I was doing 50mph - but when I realised what was happening I slammed my brakes on and dropped FAST to 30mph .... will I have been too late??

Why do they have to hide in the bushes??

Why do they have a smug look on their faces when you drive past??

Why are they at a non dangerous section of raod thats had no accidenta as far as I am aware??

Why did I want to stop, get out the car and shove their toy right up their 4rses??

Why aren't they out in the bushes when kids get abducted??

They were hiding near me too... less than 200 yards from a drop from national limit to 50 !

I'm sure I read somewhere that the police "frown upon speed enforcement camera equipment being used with 400 yards of a decrease of speedlimit" as the conviction can be argued against by a claim that it was measured whilst still in the faster limit area.

Interesting to find out if thats true or an urban myth..

If the two people who you saw were police man then who can expect a fixed penalty in the post in about 3 weeks time. The latest device to record a vehicles speed is a lasar gun. This records your speed,takes a photo of your vehicle and prints two prints from a printer in the back of the police van. No need to stop you up the road.
Either purchase a lasar jammer or visit www.pepipoo.com for some advice on how to get off!

Anyway, they will see that you are an old duffer in an MX-5 and have to go and check the calibration as you couldn't possibily have been speeding.

Whats Ironic is that I was only speeding because I was temporarily distracted by a motorist waving at me and flashing his lights - of course he was trying to warn me of the trap!!!

No camera signs as far as I am aware in the area - I THINK there should BE??!!

This device is the new "pro-laser" speed detection device it's technology is a spin off from the device used to dock the space shuttle. It is highly accurate and can catch you at a distance of more than 1 kilometre!

It need only be fixed on your vehicle for a min of 3/10 of a second so its even easier to get caught!
