You may as well say "Saving Private Jessica Lynch - The True Story"
- oh, i forgot, there already has been such a film.
Sorry, but the whole program was a load of one sided bullsh*t US propaganda![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
OK, a few more US soldiers got killed (indeed one even hurt his thumb) - versus hundreds of Mogadishu locals!
I guess that is what happens when you invade another country - oh, i forgot, they just did that

Boomer, don't you think you could have suspended your opinions until the above people had seen the programme for themselves?....rather spoiled it now , haven't we?

No probs Bob, I'll send you an E-mail later and then you can give me your address. You don't really want to post you address up here, you never know who reads it, you might end up getting something stolen (like your bike, again) ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Apparition,
whoops, meant to say, "everything went hunky-dory, and there wasn't even a stubbed toe, and the USofA excercised it's absolute right to dictate to another sovereign country how it should behave - even if that means killing lots of indigenous people"! - but whatever you do, don't read this until you have seen the unbiased footage from the program![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

p.s. Did i really give the plot away????

That is something I plan to do. I have played the PC game and loved it, watched the film and loved it also. The last books I read were The One That Got Away
and the Operators ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

i think some people missed the point of this story... for me it was about not leaving people behind, which you may argue is a sad sentiment. I don't think anybody can fully comment on that unless they've actually been there.
Regardless of the political backstory, you have to admire the courage of those guys, I'm thinking particularly of the Delta Force snipers who volunteered to secure the other crash site. Knowing full well they would probably not return to their families they still asked to go into a warzone.

boomer, are you sure you caught the same programme?
the programme I watched detailed a disasterous US attempt to capture rebel warlords. hardly one sided. I found it quite graphic on the rescue mission stuff, which clearly highlighted the troops didn't want to be there.
Sorry, but the whole program was a load of one sided bullsh*t US propaganda
