Email works fine on mine. I dont send MMS cos it costs a load - I just attach the piccy to an email on the phone and send.

Internet works fine for me.

I have sent and recieved emails, but it was a nightmare making sure everything sync'd correctly. (Especially as I have 3 email accounts I regulary use!)

I haven't sent an MMS, so I can't comment.

I love mine.... couldn't be without it now.

When I first tried to send an MMS a few months ago (never had anyone to send one to before!) it tried to send it and it kept failing.

Eventually phoned Orange support, who said the MMS service has never been switched on for your account (apparently its not switched on by default - WTF)

Once they sent the SIM update it was fine.

My advice is to Phone Orange support, who I have always found to be most helpful, and get them to check all your account settings to make sure everything is turned on as it should be.

PS - you do know you have to have a proper ISP based email account and fill in all your ISP details on the SPV Inbox for email & make sure that the SMTP server is set to Orange and not your ISP's server?

(apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs here)

Have a look at www.coolsmartphone.com for other helpful advice.

I only say this as a chap I know bought one and just expected the email to just work - I asked what email address he was using and he said he did'nt have an email address - Riiiiggghhhhhttt

Yea it took me a few mins to find the orange smtp server when i got the phone..! Use my Blueyonder account for POP3.

The internet is fine on mine (can get on ScoobyNet, yay) but occasionally it sticks on "dialling". This is a problem with the GPRS nodes on the mobile exchanges. apparently there is a fix to be rolled-out soon.

I nearly got one, until the sales person told me that the operating system was "pretty stable". Not much use for a phone, I had visions of being stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken down car, and trying to phone the emergency services whilst staring at the Microsoft "Blue scree of death".

Got a Nokia instead.

you must have had the first one. Second one is excellent. Have to charge it every nite, but who cares. O/S no longer locks up and if you de-cert it you can install all manner of good ****

marc360, T610 is a bag o'****e, look to the new p810/900 coming at the end of the year if you want a smartphone.
