Anyone else had any encounters with Silver Merc drivers, me and a few mates I know all have a fear of them as we have all had run-ins with them..
It would appear in our region they are the new scum of the road and should be approached with extreme caution due to usually being driven badly with a total disregard for other road users and driven like they have a priority on the road over everyone else!!
Anyone else had similar experiences??

Are you being serious?
So, it`s just silver Mercs? My Father has a Cubanite Silver E270 CDI. He`s 67.
I really don`t think he`s a threat to anybody. Grow up and go and hassle some Novas you muppet.

Hell yeah I'm serious ***-Jockey!!
Have you observed his driving skills, he may also fall into the catagory.. Maybe not? I'm sure its not every silver Merc driver, it just seems to be a phenomenon in our area (South-East)..
And I don't need to grow up and I've nothing against Nova drivers, they are just to be laughed at like you!!

It was with some interest that a silver merc pulled along side me at a 90 degree dual carriage way intersection, to take the outside lane as we both went onto the dual carriage way.
Think he was used to having overtaking priority as we pulled onto the carriage way
He tried failed and flashed his twin headlights in protest, still did not make him go any faster.
Bet he was miffed, paid all that money and got wasted by a sub 20k car in standard form

Yep silver German cars, know what you mean, Merc used to be the preserve of the mature considerate driver, now there seems to be a shift in ownership profile to a more BMW style ownwer.

OK,
There are good and bad drivers regardless of
Make of car
Model of car
Colour of car
Postcode
Occupation
Shoe size
Hair colour
Time of day
etc
etc
etc
etc
To say that Merc drivers are better or worse than any others is just plain garbage.
Oh, and my Audi is grey.

Yep, I agree, they're the new menace in my opinion, after getting back on a bike this year (after a 10 year gap after my teens) they have replaced the biker's nightmare which used to be "Volvo-Man" Mind you, after taking the bike test, you realise how dumb most of us can be behind tyhe wheel! I personally feel my driving is now a great deal better as i'm planning further down the road looking out for the next scenario to unfold (50% of the time there's a 3-pointed star involved!)
Before you overtake, THINK BIKE - please!
