just seen number 2......good god what a chore.
visualy stunning but thats more to do with New Zeland than the film.
nice use of CGI, im no effects fan but those big fights make good use of it.
HOWEVER, im sure if you've read the book its all great but as a stand alone movie it sucks. I cant remember more than 2 or 3 characters names, no idea what the plot is, no idea why people keeping poping up like we should know who they are.
clearly there are set scenes in the book it looks to recreate but it just make for a very messy screen play.

ps- the tree men things "ohhhh, scarry"...looks like something of the bloody tweenies!
