anyone else think dido is the female equivalent of david gray? both do alright music that you wouldn't change the radio station over but you wouldn't go out and buy their stuff? i just wonder if she hadn't done stan with eminem would she have had any success?
and my god, what an unfortunate name

An unfortunate name - yes (her parents are arty intelectual types)
Biggest selling artist in 2001 - yes and also in her brothers band 'Faithless'
Buy her stuff - of course not I've got Kazaa
Making money is the name of the game and she's got that one cracked. Also writing for Britney (another multi million selling artist).
Someones buying it though (I wouldn't mind her earning power for a couple of weeks)

They're both the equivalnet of Chicken Soup: soothing, bland but ultimately boring.
Great music to make love to, although I prefer Electric 6 for that these days

can't understand why people like Dido - must be something to do with all the mushrooms that they put in their ragu
she has a cr*p voice, hardly any range, relies on close mic/compression/equalisation. can't you hear the strain when she goes for a high note? her voice is barely there at all.
i don't think she would have made it without the eminem song.
Tel - You should know better - production on the first album was super sh*te. haven't heard the more recent one.
