Couriers?
#1
Has anybody sent a set of 17" wheels and tyres around the country by courier from Scotland. I am starting to make inroads into sell my new STI8 original wheels and tyres and I am after advice. I gather from some of the main courier sites that they charge by weight and timeframe for delivery. So if anybody has experience of doing this, info and recommendations would be helpful, to try and keep costs down.

The Royal Mail (Parcel Force) seemed to be good value if you dont mind waiting a couple of days for teh items to be delievered, there is a price calculator on their website.

I just sent some alloys that I sold on ebay, cost me £30 via city link. to box em' up I got an old plywood cable drum about 2 ft in diameter, chopped it up and sort of sandwiched the wheels inbetween - it worked pretty well.
