hello,
i am trying reduce the amount of spam i receive as it's taking longer to bounce the rubbish than it is to read the genuine mail. I have adulterated my email address on the usenet groups I post on, and was wondering if posting here with a valid email address in your profile also causes mass influx of junk to your mailbox. Any thoughts?

I've received an email advertising the services of a Subaru specialist as a direct result of posting on sn. However it's only happened the once and can hardly be classed as a problem.

I get the odd 419 email..... I'm assuming that someone who has conversed with me via my SN email address (its the only board I use it for) has been infected with some virus or another.

I'm getting 50+ junk mails a day atm, which is why it has become tiresome, as it takes a few minutes just to bounce them off the server without reading. I would not class one or two as a problem.

It annoys the hell out of me when Scoobynetters find out what I do, then send me 'company introduction' emails!
If I wanted a company that could supply this or that, then I would ask for it!!!
