Hi
Sort of following on from the digital processing thread weve just got 120 digi photos done and they appear to be a bit grainy, for 3.2 mega pixels I wouldnt have expected that, I have altered the resolution to L being the highest res, I'm guessing this will solve my problem, any other owners on here who can give me some tips on how to get better quality pics because at the moment my 8 yr old Nikon F50 pisses on the Canon.
Cheers
Dave

Hi Luke
Yep using the digital zoom on some shots, I've just been playing around a bit and changing the res has made them less grainy, even on 6.4 x it looks a lot better, tried it with the digital zoom off as recomended and to be honest there wasnt a massive amount of difference, I shall carry on playing![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Are we talking about the Ixus v3 as this is what I have? Never use digital zoom as it just makes the picture grainy. Take most pics on 1024 and 1600 res. Prints from Jessops are outstanding - was really pleased when I got the first set back.

grainy can be because of noise - taking a photo in less than perfect light can cause that on any digital camera.
I'd also recommend never using digital zoom - you can always use that on your PC afterwards.
