Question

Well-researched factually accurate insight into the minds of War Veterans or endless mind- and bum-numbingly uninspiring director's ego trip?

I vote for the latter

wonderful movie, beautifully shot, character depth not so great and perhaps a tad long, but great I thought.

Tragically I watched three quarters of this and fell asleep only to wake up to the credits!

Could someone e-mail me what happened in the end?

Agreed! Bought it on DVD a few months ago, finally got around to watching it, fell asleep 3/4 way through on a Sunday evening!

Think I might try one more time from the beginning without the G/F and give it the benefit of the doubt..

100% ****

removed the DVD, used it as a coaster.

Used the DVD case as a hat for when it's raining.

Well I beg to differ with most of you. Unlike most films made by Hollywood concerning war this wasn't the usual load of jingoistic BS we've become so used to.

It is beautifully shot with a great score and although a little slow makes a welcome departure from the norm in this genre.

Sometimes you need to watch a film for what it is rather than what you expect it to be!!

Regards,

tiggers.

I am open minded when it comes to films....

I bought this DVD and then watched and I think it was terrible. Veery boring and uninspiring. A do have another DVD on par with it and thats Ghost Dog.
