Had mine for 8 months now - replaced screen and antenna already (display turns on & off, losing satellites etc)

In the instruction manual it says a star appears on the screen if the camera is live - presumably input from the RLD. I saw the star for the first time yesterday. The RLD is mounted below numberplate, behind metal grille (like the book says not to do.....)

Has anyone else seen the stars regularly? Anyone else mounted the RLD behind a metal grille?

I'm toying with the idea of moving the RLD to above the rear view mirror instead.

Any ideas????

Regularly see the stars on my going through known cameras that flash & have the rld where yours is located behind the metal grill at the bottom of the car...........
