Hmmm, to name a few that spring to mind:
REM - Everybody Hurts
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Jethro Tull - She Said She Was A Dancer
Oh and for various, private, reasons.

My few are
Frank Sinartra-My Way
As this is the track that i had played at my Dads funeral last month.
Warren G featuring Nate Dogg-Regulate
Just a really good track to have playing in the car when going for a drive
Eric Clapton-Tear in Heaven
Nuff said!

Tyrone Davis 'can I change my mind' - fab northern soul track and very reminiscent of the excitement of being allowed into pubs & then finding girls and stuff in them
(Have it as an MP3 on my phone for whenever I need cheering up - even though it is essentially a sad song!)

"The Chicken Song" by the Spitting Image puppets.
means a lot to me for personal reasons
Its the time of year
Now that Spring is in the air
When those two wet gits with their girly curly hair
Make another song for moronic holidays
That nauseate-ate-ate
In a million different ways
From the shores of Spain
To the coast of Southern France
No matter where you hide
You just can't escape this dance
Hold a chicken in the air
Stick a deckchair up your nose
Buy a jumbo jet
And then bury all your clothes
Paint your left knee green
Then extract your wisdom teeth
Form a string quartet
And pretend your name is Keith
Skin yourself alive
Learn to speak Arapahoe
Climb inside a dog
And behead an eskimo
Eat a Renault Four with salami in your ears
Casserole your gran
Disembowel yourself with spears
The disco is vibrating
The sound is loud and grating
Its truly nauseating
Let's do the dance again
Hold a chicken in the air
Stick a deckchair up your nose
Yes you'll hear this song in the holiday discos
And there's no escape in the clubs or in the bars
You would hear this song if you holidayed in Mars
Skin yourself alive
Learn to speak Arapahoe
Climb inside a dog
And behead an eskimo
Now you've heard it once
Your brain will spring a leak
And though you hate this song
You'll be humming it for weeks
Hold a chicken in the air
Stick a deckchair up your nose
Buy a jumbo jet
And then bury all your clothes
La la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la
La la la la la la laaaaaaa
Very touching lyrics

<Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea >
They played that an an outdoor rave I attended last night (review coming soon) I was rushing my tiny mind of when that one dropped
for me its split into two catagories:
One's you've heard of,
Ebeneezer goode by the Shamen
one's you've not heard of,
"liberation"
"John Peel is not enough"
And for a bit of cheese
Nesseja Scooter ( Looove the lyrics)
astraboy.

Wayfairing Pilgrim by Roy Buchanan. Ex-GF (a long time ago) described it as "the most erotic piece of music she'd ever heard".
Needs to be listened to in the small hours of the morning in a dimly lit room, while under the influence of your favourite intoxicant.

Some tracks i cant play at work without bringing a tear to my eye-mainly because they trigger memories of stuff.
mauro Picotto- komodo
Paul Oakenfold- Southern sun
Cygnus X- superstring
Push -strange world
Keith Sweat- twisted
Probably unknown tracks to most of you- but very special to me.
I enjoy them- but if the crowd goes nuts for them too then its even better.
probably dozens more 'special' tracks to me but they are the ones that stick in my mind this morning

I have two clips on my computer which are video compilations of the 9/11 WTC disaster. One is done to REM - Everybody Hurts (accoustic version done at the celebrity 9/11 gig IIRC) and the other is with Enrique Iglesias - Hero. Both of these vids make the hairs on my neck stand up every time I watch/listen to them.
I also think Celion Dion - My Heart Will Go On did a very good job of capturing the emotion etc on Titanic. Loads of you will probably slate me for saying that, but hey I dont care
Simon.

Celion Dion
getting in touch with your feminine side Simon?
Air - All I Need (fantastic chilled out song for spending long, warm summer days with your otherhalf)
Paul McCartney - Maybe I'm Amazed (fantastically simple love song)

Rui De Silva - Touch me
Faithless - One step too far
Schiller / Kim Sanders - Dancing with my lonliness
IO - Rapture
Plummet - Damage
Whenever I hear any of these I kind of go into a sleepy trance, love them all.

Why do people like Massive Attack
Anyway -
Paul Macca - Ram (whole album)
Pink Floyd - Darkside of the Moon (whole album)
Rob Dougan - Clubbed To Death
Johnny Mathis - Misty
Four Freshmen - September Song
can't be arsed to explain the reasons.

Who wants to live forever - Queen (gives me goose bumps)
Don't wanna miss a thing - Aerosmith (played a my friends funeral)
Trouble - Coldplay - Reminds me of the early days of me and Mr Dogs relationship!!!
Hey Joe - Jimi Hendrix - Dunno why, just love it!!
Have to say, Queen songs make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Freddie Murcury had such a powerful voice. No comparison really!
Ace of Spades motivates me to drive fast if i'm in the car, so don't listen to it often!!
