Anyone know their old tunes!?
#1
This is gonna be a tough one to describe
Pete Tong played a tune in about '97 '98.
The only thing I caught about its name was that it was remixed by Snap!
It didnt sound anything like Rythm is a dancer or any of their other cack though
It was probably about 130-140 bpm, fairly quick, and has an acid style back ground with one of the best tunes you'll ever hear
Anyone got any old 12's or something on disc mixed by Snap or called Snap that might be what I'm after?
Was thinking about buyin a small organ and hooking it up to the pc so I could turn the tune into an mp3 or soemthing so you guys would have a better idea of the tune I'm on about
The reason I'm hopefull is that I dont think Snap have done loads of remixes for other artists?
Cheers

They've only done a handful of remixes under the Snap! name.
The last one I think was Human League - Don't You Want Me, 1995. There was an instrumental version with no vocals, so it's not obvious that it's HL.
The easiest way to tell this track is that unlike 99.9% of Dance tracks, there is no snare or clap sound on alternate bass drum hits. I.e in your normal 4 beats to the bar, there is usually a clap/snare on beats 2 and 4.

Just got a loan of Cubase from a freind, will try and get even the first 16 bars onto an mp3, but dont expect the next number one though
There were no vocals and I was supprised to here Snaps name being mentioned after it because it wasn't like a remix from something in the charts it was a barnstormer
No clap or snare on this one al all, neddle in a thousand hay stacks springs to mind
