Motorway driving in Britain is the worst I've experienced in Europe. Why oh why (oh why)does the driving test not cover the basics of m'way driving???
This website suggest flashing your lights at middle lane morons.
If you flash someone in Germany they move over and let you cruise past at whatever insane speed you've chosen. Do that here and the chances are the driver of the "flashed" car will chase you off the motorway and do your head in at the first opportunity.

Agree with Dapster about Germany - much better there. There doesn't seem to be the competative edge to the driving that you also seem to get over here. As for the worst in Europe, easy, Belgium.

Let me tell you. I am also a recent convert to the game of 'Hog Lapping,' and believe you me the anger you feel towards the James Hunt's (rhyming slang?) in the middle lane soon evaporates as you see their bemused faces whilst you go round them for the third time.
