Been to Curacao next door, dry rocky, not particulary scenic and not at all like the immages of the Caribbean that you expect. Oh, and they speak Dutch there.

Tim GR,
Checked it out in the brochures and on the net and I must say it doesn't sound or look like where you went.

It's has miles and miles of sun baked sandy beaches with crystal turquise ocean, I HOPE !

We went this time last year. Nice place. Our first trip to the Carribean so we didn't know what to expect. There's not too much character (I got the impression it's a bit of a "Costa Del" type cheap holiday location for the Yanks) Weather should be very good. The beaches were lovely. There's a good golf course to the west of the island with a smart clubhouse / restaurant. We stayed at the Marriott resort. Very nice, although most of the hotels looked fine. Grub was decent international fayre with some Dutch influences to the local cooking.

Arron,

don't get me wrong - the beaches are good and the sea is crystal clear - it's just that the Dutch Antilles islands are rather barren and rocky.

Have a good holiday!
