Keep it up mate..
I thought i'd never be able to stop smoking , and still do , but I've been ciggy free for 34 days as of today and i can tell a big difference already.
I dont smell (well not of ****)
My taste is returning as is my sense of smell..If I'm sat in traffic i can smell someone 2 cars in front of me if they have a ciggy
My clothes dont smell anymore
And best of all I'm not coughing stuff up the size of Donald Trumps rolex every morning
Edited to say i did have a bit of a relapse on Sunday but nothing major

well done mate. been clean about 5 years now.
first few months I had the odd cigar when having beer, just so I could say I've not had a *** for x weeks now. big help psycologically to have a few weeks to build on once you get that far. the longer you go the more pleased you feel.
by the way - its not possible to 'just have one'
i fell for that the first time I was giving up successfully and had to wait several months before i was in the right frame of mind to give it another go. that said, I learned that it isn't
possible to 'justy have one' from that experience.
best of luck. another good thing would be to put the cash you would have spent on **** each day into a pot and see how quick it mounts up. reward yourself by buying something with it
different strokes for different folks:
my old boss reckoned he'd gone 20 years without a *** but every day he wanted one. that must be real tough. I've found it gets easier as time goes by. I certainly will never have one again. - not fancied one for years
before I got round to really having a crack at stopping I'd not been able to do a single day in 10 years without a ***, even when having the most horrendous hacking coughs and colds etc. - would just get a milder pack on those days.

if your struggling get yerself to blackbushe market on sunday.
one of the stalls do a mouthwash that will put you off smoking forever. its very prominent you wont miss it when walkin around.
they do free try-outs on the stall, my missus went on a big group trip and almost all the smokers bought some.
IIRC its about £30 for a months supply

Well done , but keep it up its too easy just to have he odd one and slip back into it.
i 'gave up' for about 6 months and then one night thought yeah why not im pissed i wont want another tomorrow, back to 20 a day very soon.
Cigars seem an easy way out but i was on 10 hamlet minitures a day.
Best of luck to ya

It's easy until you go out on the lash with your friends.
I stopped so it can't be so hard.
90% mind. 10% addiction.
Fingers crossed for you.
Best of luck.

Keep up the good work- think of the money you'll save. Plus nobody wants to admit to themselves that they are a weak willed drug addict.
10 yrs since I last smoked and will never do it again.

I found giving up cigarrettes was a doddle...
...Giving up the morroccon woodbines and minature cigars is not quite so easy, though in the last 3 months I have gone from 25-30 embassy filters ( wee strong ones )a day , to say 10 hamlet minatures and a bit of the other
per week. I can genuinley say I feel better for it, more energy, easier to get up ( in both senses
) in the morning etc.
I would be kidding myself on if I said I had stopped smoking, what I have stopped is smoking one boring ciggie after another when I am bored at work or driving or having a drink etc, etc. I am still at the stage of looking forward to a wee cigar of an evening, Hopefully in the future I can kybosh these swell.
Whatever you do, the less you smoke the better, good luck![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I know this seems a little odd but one of the most pleasing things after 13months of not smoking is that the whites of my eyes are actually white again, instead of that yellow tint I'd had for so many years.

7 years now. Still get the odd pang but it's rare and it passes quickly. Most of the time I can't even remember smoking even though I must have done it just over 100,000 times!
When I gave up the key to my success was avoiding temptation, didn't go to the pub for a few weeks and then when I did go out I made sure I was driving so drink didn't dull my determination.
Also firmly believe you either smoke or you don't and you only have to have one to be a smoker so don't get sucked into the trap of thinking you can just have one and it won't effect you, IT WILL!
Keep it up, it is worth it.
