By that I mean road legal, either driven or passengered.
For me it was my old westfield ZEi220... must have been something to do with the 330bhp cossie turbo engine and a weight c.700k! Used to take my breath away when the throttle was at 100%, wheelspin in 5th etc.
I've not since been in anything that comes close the raw brutailty of that car, took bottle to keep your foot planted on the gas!

Metro 6R4 - that was an experience!! Especially as we overtook a learner on some country roads just as the car let out a snap, crackle and pop of unburnt fuel - there face was a picture

my mates 456bhp mk2 4wd dubsport golf. was a bit dubious about the power at first but he's got dyno graph's to prove and after going out in it i was speechless! never been in a car (let alone a 4wd one) that can spin all four wheels in every gear.
just waiting for it to come back from a bottom end re-build () to have some more fun!

Fastest in terms of top speed was probably a Lotus Carlton.
Fastest top speed attained was in excess of 165 mph in a 993
Most awesome in terms of noise/raw speed/experience was an ex McRae (senior!) tarmac spec Chevette HSR converted for saloon car racing (more power, less weight )
That thing was mental

Crikey! Fastest for me is a modified Testarossa with 420bhp.
Edit - owner had a GPS indicated 192mph in Germany.

Gareth L's Ferarri F40 (same as Felly's been in no doubt)
On a little B-road in Germany at Easter = 174mph on the GPS
Must get round to posting the in-car footage

My best mates Dad's Audi Quattro Tressa when we were about 10 years old. It had around 450bhp and all I remember is the feeling of being pinned to the back of the back seat with a permanent grin on my face. Absolutley awesome for its time Never been able to find info of the Tressa tuned Quattro's, anyone help me out???

Dodge charger or was it the challanger? too long ago to remember, the guy used to be a american muscle car freak,
decided to go to a RWYB event with him at Long Marston. pulled out of his gateway and wheelspan about 1/2 mile
Did the standing quater in 11..... something.
great on the straights, just pray you had shrugged off the speed by the time you got to a bend.
the car phisically SHOOK on tickover.

Maclaren F1, the press car.
A friend of mine used to work at MacLaren in Woking and he brought it round my house one night, because he had to look after it over the weekend and take it to Donnington for Tiff and Clarkson on the Monday.
He didn't tell me at first, just pulled up and came in for a cuppa. When we went outside there was a massive crowd around it.
Nice man gave me the key and let me drive it up the bypass (totally against regulations, but he was about to leave them and didn't really give a monkeys).
It sure was rapid.

my dads old tvr cerbera 4.5. that had 420bhp as standard and was an animal. I drove it a few times and just loved it. Even just trundling along at slow speeds it sounds and feels amazing.
When you do put your foot down it hurts especially as it never stops accerelating. In the wet its a bit of a nightmare.
most memorable occasion was flying past a ferrari 355 on the m49.
my dad is thinking of a new m3 or tuscan r, think i will persuade into the tuscan r so i can have a go.
