I believe the premier was last night so I doubt anyone has seen it yet! It was so long that they had to split it into 2 parts so "Kill Bill: Volume 1" should be out very soon.
It was being described as the most violent film ever this morning so it's bound to be great
Edited to remove the multiple "film" references!

Saw Jonathon Woss talking about it the other day, and a few clips and funny one liners. But apparently it's a mega blood bath, so I'm not so sure about it....

Heard someone moaning this morning on the radio about the level of violence in the film.
Let's see now - it's a Tarantino movie paying homage to the original 70's kung-fu movies - what did they think it was going to be like - "The Sound of f**king Music"
Basically if you like kung-fu action movies and you've enjoyed his previous films you'll probably love it. If not you probaby won't.
Pretty simple really!
tiggers.

They said that Reservoir Dogs AND Pulp Fiction were extremely violent blood baths, but they weren't!
I'll go and see it cos it looks okay and I think Tarantino is a clever guy.

anyone noticed how under Kill Bill it has "volume 1"?
picked it up on the ads over here. I will go and see it, as it's a QT movie and he's usually pretty cool, heck I love from dusk till dawn, classic film
Res dogs is ok, but PF was better, JB was ok too.
Give me Kevin Smith any day though.

was going to be 4 hours long which is why its been cut in half. apparently Vol 2 will be out early next year, so that both films can be nominated for oscars (in different years).
The powers that be have stopped The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions being classed as 2 films for oscar nomination purposes, so there were rumours that Revolutions was going to be put back to next year so it could get its own oscar nominations.
Return of the King is probably going to clean up this next time around - Surely Peter Jackson's name has already been etched onto the best director award.

Most of the violence is comic book stuff (decapitated head but literally fountains of blood), but there's a very disturbing bit where The Bride slams someone's head in a door.
Not comic, not ironic, just grisly.

It's only entertainment, the problems are with people who cant tell reality from fantasy.
Basically, if you don't like it, don't f***ing watch it.

just watched the trailer, think i might be a bit disapointed with the whole film, lots of fight scenes stolen from other films. Samuri fight with lots of men all surrounding her, very matrix and 100 smiths fight. !!
Knife fight copied from 'The Hunted'
I'll report back in a couple of days, when i get in DVD.

QT's films are always very derivative (is that the right word?) but also manage to have their own style, thats the way he works.
The BBC has 2 good reviews with opposing views on their News websote somewhere.

Heeeelllooooo, where are all the repies for this topic?!?!?
I saw 'Kill Bill' over the weekend with a couple of friends. Excellent movie!! I enjoyed the Manga part as well as the 'reality' stuff (the short manga scenes are from the same artists that did 'Ghost in the shell'). all in all you will see enough blood to fill an apartment!! (not only in the manga part). Uma Thurman is playing great. Another 'QT' classic. I have heard (and seen) that the main charakter (Uma T.) in the movie is always shown in different background locations to get her deadly revenge. i.e. one location is western style, another part is shown as manga, then the great Samurai-Style, etc.
Can't wait for the 2nd Part in Feb. 2004.
OH, GET THE SOUNDTRACK NOW!!
