Question

Can anyone recommend a really good epoxy ?
The prob is that the brace on my fish tank has come away froom the casing. It will be plastic to plastic and will need to withstand a fair bit of pressure as it is a 200ltr tank

At work I use 3M's Scotch-Weld 2216 B/A Gray which is a 2 part epoxy adhesive. It's very strong with most materials but you're best doing some calcs and checking the 3M website for the best for your application.

Araldite 2015 is a good, strong and reliable epoxy, quite easy to get hold of too. As above tho, check out the 3M website and cross reference your requirements re strength, materials etc. to get the best match. And remember to key the surfaces with something like 80 grit paper and clean thoroughly with IPA or isopropyl alcohol before bonding for the best results

Have you tried an aquarium shop? They usually sell bonding for the tank proper, so should be able to cope with the casing.

3 bond plastic repair kit or JB Weld for Halfords works well too.
