Not only do they lose or steal a lot of my stuff, but now the tw@ts keep on striking.
Just wasted an hour driving to and from my local sorting office to pick up an important parcel to find a note on the door saying they're on strike - AGAIN
There were people in there, but the ignorant ***** just ignored me when I politely asked them if they wouldn't mind finding my parcel for me.
Do they not realise that they're low paid because they do a non-skilled job and only work about 5 hours per day with 20 days sick (yes, sick) days that they can take on top of their leave.
Fukcers. I'm going to look into alternative delivery providers from now on. I don't give a **** if they're more expensive.
Well, that's my rant over.

It's TNT I hate. Bought a £400 AMP from the US. Seller tells me that TNT have told them that I have it, but I didn't. After 3 days they finally admitted that they left it on "the sidewalk on Hayling Island".
A member of the public found it, rang them up and TNT told me someone was going round to collect it. 2 days later STILL nothing. They lost his address and were waiting for him to call back, but he never did
Thank god for insurance as they paid up and I got my money back.

Today's strike is costing me money, AK.
Nothing harsh about it. They sort and deliver items. Much of it is automated - it's a non-skilled job.
You'd have thought that with all their jobs on the line with their company's financial woes of late that they would have the intellect to protest in other ways.

I needed to pick up a parcel from my local Royal Mail distribution centre, opening hrs 08:00-12:00
At 11:30 I was en-route but the card they put through the door had no directions, only a road name (no postcode ), of which there were two roads within two miles of the same name!
I was ringing the number from my mobile and it was ringing engaged continuously. At 11:55, after going to the wrong road, I finally arived mobile phone still to ear as I walked in the door.
Me: excuse me, how many of you are here?
Dullard: just me and 'im
Me: *holding phone at them* so who the f*ck is on the phone then??!!?!

i dont see any legitimate reason for them to strike, its as u said a non skilled job (doesnt take a genious to read!) if they dont like it why dont they get another job or learn a new skill n get a skilled job?

Right, Lets get this straight, I am a postman, not in London I may add, They are on strike because of London weighting payments, they want another £1200 a year on top of what they get now, What you want to be lucky about the strikes are only one day a week I beleive, we narrowly voted not to go on a national strike around 4 weeks ago, so it could be much worse.

Well, to be honest if they did strike for longer it would encourage independant operators to start up and provide a proper service - even if it is more expensive.
The Royal Mail is cheap, granted. But being cheap and offering a hit and miss service doesn't cut it in modern times.
I'd rather pay double and get what I pay for, rather than the current level of service offered.
They'll strike their way out of jobs and their company out of business eventually.

80,000 people were on strike today in London for Unison and the Comms Workers.
The posties are the most visible so why just take a pop at them?
I'd have to probably say that the majority of people annoyed on here about the posties are likely to earn well in excess of what they do

What does what people earn have to do with me or anyone else having a pop at them?
When (if) the tube drivers who earn £36000 a year strike in the near future I will moan then.
The Post Office offer a vital service and hold a virtual monopoly. So, when they decide to strike they fukc things up for so many people.
I have some sympathy with them. They don't earn much and London is a b@stard of a place to live, cost wise. At the end of the day, though, they chose their career. And striking without any real announcement doesn't endear the normal geezer to their cause.
