Went to CAIRNS 2001 for 15 days was going to move around BRISBANE,SYDNEY etc but AIR FAIR too much money. So stayed in CAIRNS alot!
RADISSON on the water front 9/10. My fav
Hotel CASINO 8/10.
COLONIAL CLUB HOTEL 8/10 out of town but more relaxed swimming pools etc
You are best to just walk in and ask what prices they are and then ask what's the best they can do, you'll be surprised!! We got a PRESIDENT SUITE normal cost £220 a night for £80 and boy was it good.
But there are loads of hotels to try all grades etc
The BARRIER REEF is a must we went 3 times, the QUICK SILVER boat if you don't want to properly dive is the best.
