The Ambulance caught doing 104mph will not be charged, the case has been dropped, I for one am pleased for him, lets face it he was taking a liver to save someones life

steve - common sense prevails. jeez, 104 on a motorway late at night. woooh going over 100 - does the steering reverse at those warp speeds?

But he wasn't really on an emergency call was he? An organ is time crucial, but it's not as if he had a dying man in the boot, was it??

If I was on an operating table waiting for transplant Id want him doing 140 on deserted motorway not 104 !!

OK, the CPS dropped the charge - Common sense beginning to work at last.

So which officer of the plod wants to put his hand up and confess to nabbing this chap at the time? You have to wonder...

My old man's a copper, and he's spitting mad over this. Neither he nor his fellow officers can understand why he was charged. Ok, he didn't have his blues on, but a simple stop, question, "on your way son and put your blues on" would be the norm - There are normal decent policemen out there, honest!!!

Wasn't it a GATSO? Apparently the route to the hospital had already been cleared with all the Police forces bar the one that nabbed him.
