TBO I think its mainly the newer SN members who find pslewis a pain, he hates newb's and loves to brag about his huge 'I have no life' postcount. The oldies seem to have some sort of sentimental attachment to him, like a sweaty old slipper 
It could also be due to the fact that he claims to be a 75 year old pensioner, but as he talks so much rubbish no one seems to believe him anymore, hence he's now not as endearing as he once was(if he ever was)
