I used to see a Mercedes convertible in Essex with the reg:-
PEN 15S...........

I read once that in the USA you can choose your own reg. as long as its unique and not a rude word....... so someone registered PHUQUE - he told them it was an American Indian word...........

A guy with a Merc estate in Pudsey, Leeds has R50LED , I think he also has R500LED too. If anyone is interested BL03EYE is still available for £500 from the DVLA.

Talking of "ST" plates, years ago (when we were teenagers) my brother had an old banger with the reg "SAT 1".

I bet that would be worth loads now. We never gave it a thought, and the car got sold on, or scrapped, I forget which, but without any premium for the reg. Doh!

two a penny really, only several thousand 10W plates around - sad....

however, a bloke in the village has "W1 ght" - (wight) which i thought was quite cool and blew all the other crap out the water
