Need some ideas

We3 are building my 3 kids (all lads, aged 4,6,7) a kind of tree house, wont actually be in a tree as none of the ones in the garden are suitable so it will be a free standing structure.
They want a kind of army theme and I am going to take their existing 'death slide' thing from it, will also buy some Camouflage netting to make it more milliatary and also to camouflage it as I fully expect it to be an eyesore.
So let your imagination run riot, if you were between 4 and 8 (physically as well as mentally) what would you want in your 'base' ?

ICBM Silo, some machine guns, a big field radio and a mine field surrounding the base of it.
For stuff like that visit some army surplus places, you'll at least get cheap camo netting.

omg, uncanny...
as kids my dad built us a "tree" house that stood on four timber legs about 4m high concreted into the ground.... it was painted in her majesty's british standards DPM with camo nets and a death slide to the nearest tree.... bloody excellent..... (until the chip board floor got sodden after about 5 years and my cousin fell through it!)
Tips:
1) use ply and not chipboard!
2) camo essential
3) Hatches, sorry "gun portals" also essential (PC brigade: yes kids like guns, get over it!)
4) Build over grass.... much more impact absorbing than concrete!

Cheers for the suggestions, keep them coming.
AJM, that sounds cool, just like what we are after and as for kids liking guns, my three are obsessed and our house is like an arms dump, if you wont by them, they use twigs, lego anything as a gun, I have never encouraged guns as I am not really keen on them myself but kids will be kids, especially boys.
