It usually takes off over windsor, if you head for colnbrooke then head for LHR you can park up on the side of the dual carigeway at the end of the runway. Just look up to see if they are using the left or right runways a bit vauge I know but I dont know any road numbers or nowt!

Cheers

Stu

The one that's coming to Bristol will be flying around the city with a spitfire at 2000 ft apparently. I expect the spitfire will be flat out, and Concorde will be on tick over.

They are supposed to be flying down the Portway and over the Suspension Bridge, then across the City. Eventually landing at Filton Can't wait to go and have a look around with the kids.

Good excuse to get right on one, but not sure when it's happening!!

Thumbs up

babber - that sounds great. I used to see that spitfire hooning around the skies a lot when I worked in Filton. The pilot's a nutcase.

Not sure it's the same spifire mate, I'm sure I heard that one crashed unfortunately (I may be wrong) The one they showed on the TV was a different colour to the original.

I can't wait to be honest. I grew up around Yate, which is a couple of miles away from the end of Filton runway, and you heard Concorde and the engines all the time.

I can remember the Vulcon bombers flying over my house very low and fast

I was gutted watching the 3 planes land at Heathrow.

Saw that flight coming into land earlier, such a graceful plane I will miss hearing it landing at Manchester. (Office is in flight path for runway)
