Went to see Michael Moore speak at the Manchester Apollo the other night, must confess to being a fan and have read the book 'Stupid White Men', watched Bowling for Columbine, I think he has a lot to say worth listening to, dont exactly agree with all his politics but by and large he is speaking from the heart and makes sense.

I must say it wasnt the most entertaining three hours of my life and some of the tossers asking stupid questions need a reality check, if fact some were trying to out left wing Michael Moore which was bizarre, telling him how it was and how he should get off his fat **** and do something !, criticising the way he uses voices to illustrate a point.

It was a bit embarrasing to be seen with the crowd going in there, if there is a revolution I sincerley hope that lot arent behind it.

The high spot of the evening for me were the ticket touts, Michael Moore tickets were six quid, to listen to a white man campaigning against White corporate greed and self interest whilst an all black group of touts were asking for sixty quid to see the show, and beleive it or not tickets were changing hands at this price.

Perhaps the Black Guys arent any different, they just havent had the opportunity to wear a suit and screw every other bugger on a large scale but they seemed to be doing a fair approximation in minature !

Watched Bowling for Columbine a few weeks ago, as you say he makes some great points, i'm glad I live here and not the US.

This board seems full of right wing tories i.e. council house scum, blame all the immigrants and single mothers, that type of thing so i doubt there where many scoobynetters in there.

You wait until you see MM's next book Dude, where's my country?, all about 9/11 and how well the Bush family actually know the Bin Ladens (sp) For example, how either on the day or day before 9/11 Bush (not sure if it was Jr or Sr) was actually talking to one of the Bin Ladens!

Makes for interesting reading.

Thought he was better when he first started. He doesnt have the same sense of humour and irony that he used too.

Best clip was on his old Tv natoin show when he knocked on the door of the head of Ford and asked him if he could change an oil filter on his ford pickup. The guy put on some overalls and did it.
Great tv.

well I can forgive an erroneous sweeping statement about conservatives if you can forgive a simple typo

I read 'Dude, where's my country?' the other week. Much better read than 'Stupid White Men'. Oprah for President!

I got bored with 'Stupid White Men' to be honest.
'Bowling' was ok to watch and it would be interesting to see him doing something similar in the UK.

TV Nation was pure class. M Moore at his very best. Loved the one where the black guy brought white slaves in the deep south and smuggling canadians into the US.
