![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
i lost my digi camera the other day (alcohol related incident)
, but decided to buy another one to cheer myself up
. Luckily the MD decided he wanted one as well, and bought two while he was at it - so i now have an olympus E20. Have been reading up on it and it has come in for a fair bit of critisism for "image noise" - what exactly is this? As i do not use the camera professionally i don't think that much of the supposed problems with it are going bother me.
any thoughts?
tia.

Explanation & pics here
It goes into a bit more detail than my description of noise which would be 'fuzz on the picture'

PC,
Do not worry as a lot of the criticism of the E20 and it's predecessor the E10 were from the professional side of the business. This is a testament to how good the camera is as although it is only classed as semi-pro it can be called upon by professionals when the need arises.
I would describe myself as a semi professional photographer and have only just retired my E10 for a Nikon D100. The E20 is a great camera for all round use - just enjoy it, learn how to get the best from it and you won't be disappointed.
You can find lots of help and advice on the DP Review - Olympus SLR Forum.
Good luck,
tiggers.
