Had a note pushed through my door yesterday morning, saying a parcel is at their depot awaiting my collecting, they will keep it for 5 days

No name on the note, no reference number, no nothing, just a pre-printed card, with a map to their depot

So I phoned em up today, as the Milkman doesnt know my name, and I enquired about my 'parcel'

They said yes we have a parcel here for you (I still didnt give my name, or address at this point) and they told me they are not allowed to tell me what it is, nor are they allowed to push it through the door, yet it doesnt need a signature

They then said, is it Specsavers?, is it Truprint Photographs, is it a magazine ?

I then explained the note with no ref number etc, and how do they know they have a parcel for me, they then told me that they have taken on a contract of getting the milkman to deliver parcels as an alternative to the post office !!

news to me, and I aint ordered anything, so fek knows what it is

How does that work then as a milk float isn't exactly secure when unattended(delivering milk).Or have they added a safe box or summat?

excellent idea.

parcel deliveries are always sh1te and come when you are out ... but Mr Milko does it at the right time.

anyone who doesn't subscribe to Milky popping by should get on the wagon now.

It doesnt help me, and certainly is less convenient, as my milk is delivered around 5.30am and as they cant just push it through your door its pretty pointless

Im actually intruiged as to what the parcel is, I havent ordered anything, nor am I expecting anything !!

If its a speeding fine, then im cancelling my milk

Sonic, there was a scam not so long ago, call this (premium rate) number, as we have a parcel for you. It’s not premium rate number is it?

And yes, the milkman are allowed to deliver business post / parcels.

Here's another one-try having it delivered to an address where someone is in.
