What are these guys like on delivery?

Ordered a 'delivered in 3 - 7 days' telly and am starting to get a bit 'kid without his new toy' about it.

After a week I called and they said 'it's being picked from the warehouse'. Strange use of tense there - present continuous! I would prefer 'it has been picked'!

So just called again (10 days) and its a 'it's with the courier company, call us if you havent received it by Dec 13th!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Then it will be delivered at 14:45 whan I am at work of course, so I have to re-schedule for an afternoon off work in 2 weeks!

Sometimes I wonder why I order online cos you can never ask 'when is it coming'...
