evening folks,
followig on from my post some months back....as Xmas is on its way I'm thinking of asking Santa (or at least Mrs Santa)for a home cinema projector (been promising myself one all year but failed to get round to it)
So, question (or questions) are
I've seen the 'Beng' braand advertised on various sites for less than £500 - which to me seems like a bit of a bargain, anyone know anything about this brand? Any good or avoid like the plague?
Whats the minimum specs for a home cinema projector - I'm obviously not looking for state of the art stuff, just something to reproduce a half-decent picture - is this possible with a lowly budget of less than £500? (need a ceiling mounted job).
Any decent forums to visit to read some reviews or is it a case of buying Home Cinema Choice mag?
Thanks
Neil

If you want a cheap projector then have a look at the Infocus X1. I've seen it selling for around £600 in the USA. Cheapest here with VAT is just over £800.
