Question

Any recommendations on who to use for 2 days car insurance? Just need to get covered for a courtesy car. Need it for Monday morning and I forgot until this morning. Of course the insurance company I use for the car being serviced is closed at the weekend, so need to find another . My fault for not sorting it last week though

I just phoned my own insurance company (i.e. the one my car was covered through) and asked them to add the courtesy car for a couple of days. I think it was free

You should be covered under the garage's insurance.

Some garages cover you. Some cover you and charge you for it. Some just charge you x p per mile. Some leave you to sort out your own insurance.

Garage doesn't cover me for insurance - think I am best to call my insurers on Monday. They'll be open by the time I get over to Brum to the garage.

Courtesy car's not exactly a supermini - Saab 9000 2.3FPT Griffin Quite looking forward to it!

My BMW dealer charged £5 to cover the curtesy car..

My SAAB dealer gives curtesy car and insurance F.O.C.

It's a Saab Specialist as opposed to a Saab Dealer. http://www.westmidlandssaab.co.uk/ Most Saab Specialists I've used give you Saabs for courtesy cars.

Last time I got a courtesy car from a Saab Dealer was about 5 years - got a 900 2.3, though had to pay £25 for the privelege. Having said that - I'd rather pay for a half decent car than suffer a supermini for a day!
