Question

Which fan are you:

a) You have been to a Rugby union game before

b) You are a fair weather fan that will go back to supporting football in the new year, and really have no clue about the rules of the game, although you pretend you do?

d) You like proper rugby i.e. rugby league

i'm happily option B, I doubt I'll watch it again til the next international.

Can't see the problem in supporting your country in a major sporting event.

The rules aren't rocket science and the ref helpfully has a mike so he can tell us what's happening!!

Personally I find League too 'clinical'. I love all the wierd and arcane rules of Union.

I used to go to the Rec a quite often back in the day. And a mate had a mate who at the time got his first cap for England against the All Blacks. Kieron Bracken I think he said it was.

As for football.... well... no comment.

I used to play Union a lot and really enjoy supporting our team both in the WC and also the winter series.

I think it is significant that if you go to a game you can take a beer or two in with you and at the end of the game opposing supporters are prepared to shake hands!
