...how many people do you think we'd be talking?
Couple of million?
How can some humans exist at such low levels of morality and self-respectability?

I wouldn't agree with your definition of dross but I reckon there are tens of millions who require bolt gunning and throwing in a pit.

Hmmm - didn't a certain bloke in Germany in the 1930s start his political career with a similar agenda?
I would agree that there are many people, who you would view as undesirable. What annoys me more is that it is our governement that lets it happen. Our benefits system is too generous and allows too many people to take a free ride. Combined with a prison / police system that is so worried about offending someone and getting sued for discrimination that it has stopped operating effectively.
If we took a tougher line, I don't think we would need to resort to mass executions!

How about people who through ignorance or sheer stupidity are poorly educated and unable to contribute to society? Along with the anti-social, career criminals and people who play the lottery.
Obviously this is just a pipe dream but venting ones splein is healthy.

It's not an exhaustive list. Please feel free to define further.

I'm all for it as long as I get to choose the arbitary selection criteria.
People with bad hair
Student girls wearing odd hats
that bloke that looked at me funny
anyone with a lazy eye

I could, 289, but that isn't mandatory, surely? I'm happy to hear others views without stamping any personal experience over the first post. That could be construed as attention-grabbing.

Pathetic post Andrew. Justify please
My mum spent most of WW2 along with her immediate family ( the rest where all killed in concentration camps although I'm not sure if they where gassed or shot, so please excuse me if I digress a little) in Germany as forced Labour because some evil, evil bastid equally thought as you appear to do that if all the dross in the country could be shot....

Andrew, yes i knew that, and i sort of figured that's where you were coming from.
Please excuse me the odd rhetorical post, which is not racially-motivated at all; just a statement about the low-life who pollute the country.
If you took it a little too literally, that was wholly unintended.

rhetorical or not, there is a real problem. a significant part of society either does not want to or feels unable to join in the game of being honest, law abiding citizens. the natural thing for these people to do is to take wealth, however they can, from the people who are participating in the game. what do you do? use ever greater amounts of the resources available to catch and imprison them, making a greater and greater number of people unproductive?
people think that "helping" the "scum" is a waste of money advocated by jumper wearing guardian readers, but in fact the costs of *not* helping the "scum" may be much greater. If i knew there was someone up my street who wanted to break into my house, and if i gave him £100 he would not break in and also tell all his house breaker mates that my property was off limits, i'd certainly consider it. the sad fact is that unless every other preson in the country is a copper, we will never win the battle using policing and security.
IMO.

Talk about missing the bloody point......Andrew how can you take offence at the post by drawing comparisons to Hitler FFS....
I'm sorry did I miss the part in Tel's post were he suggested they should shoot Jews and law abiding citizens.......Ermmmm NO I don't think i did because it wasn't there...
People who's views that are as extreme as the Mad German Bloke should be added to the list along with all the other W@nkers already mentioned. Personally having been a victim of car crime on many occasions and watching daily as the tax I work very hard to pay gets P!ssed up the wall by Scum Bags I think the Shoot em idea is Tops....
Tel should edit his reply post to say if you took it the wrong way Tough ****............

Yeeees, but how did the low-lives get there? I mean, unless you susbcribe to the view that people are intrinsically evil, the fact is that education and social conditioning make a person what they are. GIGO tells us that poor inputs lead to poor outputs; so why are we surprised that we have a bunch of lazy, illiterate and feckless slobs. Hell, we created them.
So after decades of underinvestement in housing, education, health, and social services (I could go on but you get my point) the people I'd give a serious talking to would actually be the middle-class voters who consistently vote for short term measures like building more prisons. Who believe the Daily Mail when it screams about how Britain is being overrun by asylum seekers. Who think there's a crime epidemic about to hit us. Who honestly think that more police officers = less crime, when all that does is address the symptom rather than the cause.
The fact that people are sent to prison for trifling fines of perhaps £300 is ludicrous, because it costs WAY more than this to be incarcerated for even a night. Yet this is not even slightly uncommon. People with serious drugs problems are sent to prison despite the fact that (a) drugs are available in prison (b) what they really need is rehabilitation and treatment (c) it costs approximately eight times as much to incarcerate a drug user as it does to treat them in the community.
The middle classes have most of the money, and they're keeping it to themselves, goddammit. The very mention of a potential tax increase sends shivers through them, despite the fact that this might lead to an improvement in education, which would mean that Chloe and Sasha, their X5-transported offspring wouldn't need to attend a private school. Spending more money in one area would actually SAVE them money elsewhere, yet they're so blinded that they don't or won't see.

Listy - don't entirely agree. the thing is, someone has got to decide who is "dross" and who isn't. it's part of living in a democracy that you can't suddenly decide that people you don't like should be shot. it says somewhere in the bible that man shouldn't take another man's life, and whether you believe in it or not, that's where many of our consititutional ideas came from.
I do agree that Tel wasn't trying to be hitleresque though. i think hitler might have found some of his "art" to be "deviant".
anyone want to move to iraq?
ha ha ha
/crosses Sasha off list of potential names for the baby

People who routinely flaunt their obscenely high wages ala fat cats and kn*bs like pslewis who think they are a cut 'above' the riff raff of hard working joe's.
Any smug bastids (a few on here) who think just because someone is not as clever, wealthy or privileged as they are, that they must be scum or riff raff.
People born with a silver spoon in their marble mouth.
Anyone who thinks having loads of money makes them better than someone else.
edited to say basically anyone with more money than ME

people can be intrinsically evil
Thats the problem.
All this blaming society nonsense
Right - I'd add anyone who believes that 10 year olds who tie rockets to puppies/vandalise property/etc, etc, etc, are "poor little victims of society" to your list.
Along with the litte barsuards and their families as well...

Thing is 289, if i were under-privileged, i'd like to think i wouldn't stoop to thieving, either directly or via the State system.
I certainly wouldn't spray everything with grafitti.
I wouldn't smash all the glass in every 'phone box and bus shelter i could find.
And so on.
