They are not the right people for the job. They f**k up everything they do, and *always* try to blame other people. That makes them losers in my book

To be a bit more controvertial - how could you realistically expect a pair of gays to design a *family* home. It's just not in their brief really, is it?

I thought the really impressive thing was the way they kept ratcheting down the offers. Lost the one for £385k, so turned down one for £360k, another for £367.5k. Dropped the price, turned down an offer for £350k, dropped it again and finally accepted £325k. Then they make out it's a good thing to get £335k. I'm not an "expert", but I could act as consultant and tell them to take the first Bl**dy offer and they'd actually make money. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Imlach - you're being massively unfair to them. They made a genuine profit of almost £1k on this house in only 8 months, or an incredible £750/year each. At that incredible rate of profit, they would genuinely make a million - if they work non-stop until the year 2670.
Only a real nitpicker would point out that millions of "non experts" probably found their property went up by £10k over the same 8 months.

I'd like to see the format changed to a duel between them and the builder to see who gets to £1m first....head screwed on builder who does the minimum work and turns it round quickly, compared to 2 mincing glaswegian fannies who can't even stop a **** from spurting it's load all over the kitchen floor.
Any bets? No, I thought not - it's a dead cert!

How that bloke didn't punch them when he was trying to fix that water leak I'll never know. No wonder he's leaving them next week.
No surprise that a couple with no kids bought the house. These designer people should wake up to the real world. They are trying to sell a 'home' not a house. Funny how mateyboy was right about the cooker and as for that dangerous fireplace!!!!

How about duel between them and someone stacking shelves in Tesco's for 4 hours a week, and see who gets to a million first? That would be a lot fairer contest which could go either way.

Isn't the program a bit flawed seeing as the market has been rising over the past three years or so ??
Seems to me all you need to do is buy a house, sell it after a few weeks/months and make loads of money. Hardly a display of money making via decent design.

Were your mate and his wife on TV today (BBC1 10am)? They bought a flat in Sheerness spent £250 on paint/carpet cleaning and had the place valued 4 weeks later at £20,000 more than they paid.
If it wasn`t your mate then I`m going to start buying in Sheerness if profit is that easy to make![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
mate of mine has just bought and sold a flat in Sheerness and made £20k in 4 weeks - spending £250 on paint / cleaning the carpets!

They're f?cking useless t@wts. All they do they 'dress' the finished house in such a way it mainly appeals to gay men. Uuummmm, no wonder their house was devalued by almost £75 grand in a few months - no ****** would be seen dead in it.
Definitely hope the builder punches their lights out next week.

Absolute idiots. I was shouting at the telly last night.
The abject refusal to see that having the back side (of a hob) accessible by kids just beggared belief. Or the straight through fire. Or the lack of rooms that you can close the door on because little Jonny has drawn on the walls again. Or whatever.
Nigel was absolutely right to walk out. They don't listen. I'd point blank refuse to work with them.
Then the argument with the guy who said "you can't fit a BMW 3 series in". They'd only be shut up by fekin proving that it wouldn't fit! What sort of idiot gets things so wrong?
Then the mincing in the background while Nigel sorts out the plumbing... Well, if I were Nigel, I wouldn't have been quite so restrained.
And the whole idea of the programme is flawed.
Spend 100k on a house.
Spend 20k on renovations.
Sell house for 130k.
That means you've taken 10k profit, and should be looking to spend 110k on the next house.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Whether they're gay or straight is irrelevant: they're just 'kin annoying!
Compulsive viewing tho. I'll be watching next week to see what Nigel has to say regarding him not doing the next house![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Cheers,
Nick.

Yep, I reckon next week is going to be a classic. They'll try another reluctant apology and hopefully he'll tell 'em where to stick it. Let's face it, without him they are *nothing*.
