I bought a wardrobe from a catalogue approx 7 months ago and finally go round to putting it together lastnight, however not many of the holes match up so I cant put it together.

Catalogue (Kays) say because its outside of the 14 day home approval tough but have 10% off the price (now £225)

Where do I stand?

i would imagine pretty good as it was not fit for purpose, and was sold as a new product. Tell them you want an exchange or you'll take them to the small claims court.

Phone your local trading standards. They will tell you your rights and what to say to the suppliers.

Chip.

Scooby96....the 14 day approval is not the issue, its not a case of you not liking it.The problem is its not fit for the job it was sold for.You should be entitled to an exchange imo.

I thought that the complaint had to be made within 6 months. Kays can't be held responsible for you not bothering to build it within this period. (PS Charlie, I thought your comment was pretty good!)

personally i think you should drill a sh*t load of holes in it and then see what it looks like. i've got a nice bosch (drill) you can burrow if you like, and an assortment of drill bits.

and another thing, i've always wanted to ask you scoob_babe:

how much does it cost?
