I was thinking about getting the "Model Two together with the matching Model Subwoofer and Model CD"
Is it as good as they say for a small system?
(I've had ruark speakers before, so I know they're good)

The Tivoli mono radio is truley awesome IMO. It has a lovely rich sound that belies it's size and completely stomps on any other portable I've heard. I was thinking about one of these for the kitchen but didn't really fancy all the other boxes for CD, stereo etc Shame really as it's a cracking piece of kit.

Fosters
I have a complete system. Some of the colours are a bit horrid. I stuck with the teak colour.
The sound is very very nice. Much better than any bedside nakamichi or the little Bose systems. But its very very hard to find a whole system in stock at a nice price. I got mine from John lewis a few weeks ago.

I'm a big fan of Ruark speakers, although I don't have any tivoli stuff.
Charlie - I'd suggest that the silver wire Equinoxe's I'm presently running as my main speakers off ATC power amps count as proper hi-fi.
Edit for speeeeling

Proper Hifi is
Wadia CD £6k + then a few amps by ...Audio research for another £10K + !!!
For what I wanted the Tivoli for it is fantastic. I aslo have a Denon DM3 that is bloody fantastic. Liked the look and sound of the tivoli. The "Subwoofer" makes a great difference. better than a Denon Dm3 with speakers for £150.00?????? not realy.
But better than all the krap on the shelves with flashing lights and million watt stickers???? you bet.
Listen and be amazed.
