Question

Hi

One of our neighbours is complaining about us parking on the road. Now its a small village and the road in question is a 30 zone but has no street lighting. They have claimed it is illegal to park on a road that has no street lighting, I just need to clarify this.

Cheers guys

Gary

Better still show them the highway code rules on parking and then roll up the highway code and insert it somewhere where the sun don't shine (and I don't mean Manchester )

Cant be ar$ed reading the highway code BUT am I right in saying you have to park ont he opposite side of the road facing the oncoming traffic and have your parking light on (side lights with the engine turned off) if theres no street lighting?

Lazy git, no, you're wrong.

You MUST NOT park facing oncoming traffic.

If you park on an unlit road with a speed limit of more than 30mph then you MUST use parking lights

Edited because I didn't check it myself

You might at least understand the basic rules of how to behave on the road before you open your mouth!

Organise the next Scoobynet Bedfordshire meet at your house and see how they like it with 20-30 Scoobs rumbling in for an hour or two. Parked perfectly legally of course

We had similar trouble with the she-male biatch who runs the barbers shop opposite our home. She insisted that the spaces in front of her shop were hers by right, even though they are directly opposite us, and there are double yellows on our side. She proceded to block in the g/f's car for 4 months, warning us that one of her customers was the local police chief . 'Til she got a ticket, a £35 fine and threatened with 3 points for inconsiderate parking, LOL
