Sat in and watched the best film I've seen for a long while on telly last night - 'Dog Soldiers' ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Very 'American Werewolf' meets 'Platoon' meets 'Alien'
Its on Sky Movies at present, so watch out for it!

Ah yes - fabulous movie, if a little tongue-in-cheek. Bought it on DVD earlier this year.
Aliens with werewolves best describes it, and about 1/100th of the budget.
Classic scene in the kitchen with the soldier throwing pans at the werewolf, only to finally be defeated "I hope I give you the *****"
And the part outside, with the flare - "FETCH!"

The best thing is at the start of the movie the wolves can kill a human in about 0.00001s with one swipe - by the end they are going heads up in a boxing match for 5 minutes in the kitchen - LMAO

An absolute stinker!
How Shawn Pertwee can walk down the street without hanging his head in shame I do not know (maybe he does). I started watching this on the way back from the US and had to give in - absolutely one of the worst films ever made.
Cheers

My brother saw it and lent me the DVD to watch, I was in hysterics. It is very low budget, but rather funny.
I like the "There is no spoon" comment
v funny, plus the part when Sean's character is telling his mate to knock him out
very funny.
Good for a laugh on a sunday afternoon.

Best line from the film, and respect to the Matrix

Good to see a british horror film again, i enjoyed it, did not take itself seriously and was a good watch.
Had about the same total budget as an American blockbuster spends on the closing credits![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Do like Shaun Pertwee, great actor, in fact the whole thing was well cast, directed and acted.

Was good to see the sneeky reporter from Ultraviolet come to a quick and nasty demise on the end of a sharp tree stump.
That was a series that had promise. Was really gutted when it stopped after just the 6 episodes.

Sergeant Harry Wells: We are now up against live, hostile targets. So, if Little Red Riding Hood should show up with a bazooka and a bad attitude, I expect you to chin the bitch!
Cooper: I'm still not convinced these things didn't just escape from the local nut-house and forget to shave or trim their nails.

this is a perfect example of why its a great flick.
the shot above manages to be funny because its a bloke in a suit but also....would you camp in the woods afetr watching the movie?
not since Broody chucked a scoop of chum at a plastic fish has anything so very fake been so very good!

made me laugh all the way through. Went to the big screen to see it, expecting a bit of a horror. But it was more like a comedy. Excellent film, keep meaning to buy it on DVD to just watch those scenes in the kitchen. Poor budget, but what a scream.
