My friend has just gone to Wales and hired a Ka, upon collection they've 'upgraded' him to a Fusion

Oh how I laughed when he told me.

Still laughing now and he told me about an hour ago

Hey that's good going. I needed a car for work and I ended up with a Vauxhall Meriva

The things got so much body roll I was feeling sea sick after 5 mins. Seems that the sum of it's "two cars in one" is the provision of two headphone sockets and a cheap pair of headphones

We were in Fuerteventura recently and after 5km I decided that the Suzuki off-roady thing they'd given me was a death trap. Only other car available was a Pauxwhore (couldn't be any) Coarser. To my amazement it wasn't that bad (leccy windows, PAS etc) and was £90 cheaper Even the Siecento (sp?) was better than the Suzuki.

I bet Ford are well chuffed. They've actually sold a Fusion.

Current Fiestas are poo too!

Based on the one I hired for a Luton-Devon return trip back in the summer.

I was really disappointed - the interior felt flimsy, there was a terrible wind noise coming from somewhere (near the windscreen) at 80mph but I couldn't see anything obvious and it was no pleaseure to drive and was 'worse than a Vauxhall', IMHO.

We have a KA and OK, it has its limitations (rough motor, hard plastic trim) but given that the current Fiesta came out after the Focus, I couldn't believe how poor it was.

Fusion looks to have been molded from the same turd.

Ah but you're missing the point. The Fusion is taller than a Fiesta, so it must be better. A senior bloke from Ford UK said so to my brother at a motor industry show thing when he asked him "Fusion - why?"

Higher centre of gravity for handling purposes, more weight cos it's taller, more aerodynamic drag, and more expensive than an equivalent Fiesta, but you sit 2" higher for a better view. How can that not be a worthwhile investment?
