Its my eight year old lads birthday party, several (about 8) 7 and 8 year old boys tearing my house up, one is fond of the Piano and has been bashin out tunes (I use the term loosely) for the past two hours, the wife has extended my normal booze watershed from six o clock until they have gone, at least there is no sleep over. Stella is my coping mecanism in these situations. The Xbox had Midtown Madness playing, The Koeniggsegg was blessed with the registration 'TOSSER'.
They are all full of Pizza, pop and cake, I fully expect one to spew lavishly over the new carpet in the lounge, they have just sat down to watch 'Agent Cody Banks' and are going through their repotiore of *****, bum, booby, bum, wee wee, poo poo and fart 'jokes', well just saying any rude word followed by a chorus of stupid snorting laughter, One has just appeared (Harry, 8 going on 23) and asked when I would be fininished on the pc, cheeky little ****. They are all carrying weapons of mass annoyance and are fighting over the guns that make the most noise and announce 'Fire !' in a cod American accent that sounds like a Ladyboy. The dog has gone into hiding, the living room smells of farts, arggghhhhhh, thats Friday evening buggered then !
I feel like Kate Adie reporting from a warzone.

Haven't you learned to jack the parties in by now 
I held a party for my 3 year old back in September and the house was torn to shreds (kids/food/drink/ice cream/toys everywhere). I've seriously never seen my house in such a state, even compared to our adult parties. I've since vowed to take Birthday parties out of the house and into some kind of venue.
You have my sympathies

NEVER, ever, ever , ever have a party at home for young hooligans.
There are plenty of places that lay on parties with activity centres/football etc who you pay to deal with all the cr4p, supervision, puke, fights, tears etc.
Ship them off there, go to the nearest pub and relax for two/three hours then pick up the little darlings.
Chances are that they are so cream crackered they will be like putty in your hand.
Well worth it IMHA. And I REALLY mean it!!!

i remember when i was about 9 i went to a party, thought it was great fun, to throw tomatoes at the wall.... sfunny never got invited to many partys after that..
