Given the majority of the public admit to breaking the law when it comes to speeding, what other laws do people feel it is "ok" to break?

A couple I can think of:-

* Drugs (not for a long time!)
* Drinking in a public place (byelaw)
* Speeding
* The odd physical altercation, always provoked!
* And the pinnacle of my criminal career... Using bolt croppers from the hardware section in B&Q to cut the chain on the trolley so that I could retrieve my pound without having to take the trolley back to a bay

Thats it.... hardly a master criminal!

serious answer:

* Speeding (done to death)
* Ban on mobiles whilst driving (done to death)
* Loads of daft european trade legislation - daft, bin it
* Amended firearms act banning legally held pistols - a disgrace

If they didn`t know you were an uninsured driver that was stoned and during a road rage incident pointed a gun at them and fired I bet that would hurt them.

Talking

Speeding (but then again 99.9% of the public will admit to this - the .1% who claim never speed are liars)
Parked illegally quite a few times
Smoked a few things should not of when younger
Carried a few things on aircraft that should not have carried
Download mp3's and then copied them !
Use unliscenced software
Borrowed stuff from work and never returned it

Evading tax by getting parts from abroad sent to the UK as warrenty items or commercail samples.

I have a list that I'm not willing to share on here, most of which I got caught for. I believe it turned me into a good citizen being caught for them, and reforming me.

I park without a ticket almost daily - been doing it for a year now and have saved over £200 so if I get a fine I'm still quids in.

I've driven a solid wheeled vehicle at more than the legal 12mph.

I'm pretty sure it's only Hackney Carriage drivers that can wee on their car, but only if they carry a bale of hay with them, or something.

I do know you can't beat your carpets on a sunday in Rochdale...

Of course, you could argue that laws are passed by govenrment, and that government are meant to represent the views of the public. Therefore, if 90% of the country think it is OK to do it, it shouldn't be against the law.

Just a thought.
