A guy at work has asked for some movie recommendations.
He wants thought provoking movies, in a similar vain or genre to:
Donnie Darko
Fight Club
The Sixth Sense
The films we've come up with so far have been:
Stir of Echoes
The Gift
The Others
Vanilla Sky
Anymore suggestions?

Equilibrium, though is a pseudo action movie is highly recommended. Unbreakable also has a lot of plot twist to it. Clockwork Orange though dated, should also be in the genre you're looking for.
But Glitter just makes you lose 20 IQ points so I'll go with that.

I'll second Blue Velvet!!
How about The Thirteenth Floor?
For the really obsure though you've got to head down to Peter Greenaway territory - 'A Zed and Two Noughts' for starters, main course of 'Drowning by Numbers' with a dessert of 'The Belly of an Architect' all washed down with a liberal helping of 'The Draughtsman's Contract'.
tiggers.

I have to say I've seen quite a few of these films or even own them, but racking my brain I forgot most of the title!!! ![Embarrassment](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/redface.gif)
I agree with Dark City and Event Horizon, bought them both on region 1 as soon as they were released! In fact I saw Event Horizon in Time Square, New York during the opening week!
