Staying over in leeds for new years eve this year with my girlfriend and wondered if anyone knows of any decent places to go..??? i.e not the usual majestics or creation e.t.c..

Possibly some where that dont just play banging trance all night.

What type of music do you want? Rehab has a good line up for NYE, It's near some good bars also. £20 in on NYE. The club itself is Ok, could be laid out a bit better but it's not bad at all.

e-mail me if you want more info

I'll agree with that.

Dority?

What's that mean? If it's meant to mean dirty then the poster from London must walk around with blinkers on.

London's a **** hole - fooking filthy.

Doirty is a term I use to dscribe Leeds because when the footy team was actually any good they were know as doirty doirty leeds!

I came to Leeds for the first time this year, only saw Morley and it was more that a little backwards! Totally agree that London is a dirtbox but I bet you'll find some better nights out for NYE in the real big smoke!

Morley isn't Leeds. It's a town in its own right - but, yes, backward and rough!!

A night out's about who you're with, I find. You've got more chance of getting ripped off in London and then ripped off again trying to get home! Either that or attacked by the illegal cabbie you're forced to use as there are no licensed ones available!!

Leeds city centre has loads of good bars and clubs - but, like you said, you haven't been.

A bit like commenting on a car that you've never driven.....

Indeed it is

Heh heh - I like illegal cabbies, they are a cheap and decent alternative to using my beer scooter!

Leeds city centre has loads of good bars and clubs - but, like you said, you haven't been.

I'm sure it does and I have to go back to Morley in the new year and will no doubt venture into Leeds this time, and then I will see what I think of the place.

Totally - The original poster asked for some advice for NYE in Leeds but not one suggestion after 2 days, hench me replying with a valid suggestion.

Please don't be offended by the term 'doirty' as it was only used in jest with reference to the footy team and I never said a bad word about Leeds folk or the nightlife.

It takes more than that to offend me

I'm from Leeds, but left. So I can't have found it that great LOL

An those illegal guys are a real bargain if you get the price before the journey. I got from Islington to Highgate for a fiver the other week!!!
