Thumbs up

Just knocking back a pint of this xmas ale from fullers. Delicious and strong at 8.5%. Thoroughly recommended to all you ale drinkers

Anybody else tried any strong Winter ales yet?

I'm supping French "biere blonde" at the moment. Stubbies. Saint Omer. Rather nice.

Quite tempted to crack open a bottle of rioja though...

St Peters Winter Ale is good - I think it only comes in bottles. Hogs Back 'A over T' is good stuff too - about 9% IIRC.

I'm being a fookin tramp as usual. Giving the Tennent's Super a break tonight, and have descended further into the gutter with K cider. If i don't finish it, i'm sure i can find some paint that needs stripping!

Was over in Denmark the other week - each year Carlsberg bring out a Yule Beer, at about 8%. On one night of the year, big lorries appear in the City centre and it's free until it runs out. Certainly gets the night off to a good start...

I was in Copenhagen a month back... between flights going to Oslo. Still, gave me ample time to neck a couple of pints over there.

There was some bloke at the airport who asked me what airport he was in, and was shocked when I replied "Copenhagen"... He said, "Not stockholm?"

Fool.

i like the sound of free beer lorries - unfortunately that never happens here. A bit like when you are abroad on holiday - if you frequent the same bar on a couple of nights you seem to get freebies - frequent the same pub for 10 years in England and you're lucky if you get free nuts on a sunday!!!
