I believe most new B & O stuff has a programme that when you unplug it from the mains it locks.. you need to tap in a PIN to get the things to work...
We have just unplugged a modern unit and its now asking for the code!!! the owner isnt around.

I doubt we would nick it...its in a mental hospital patients room. And it looks tacky!!. We have left a message with the parents and they bought it so should be able to help.
