The majority of threads are turning into slanging matches, if somebody asks a question about something it always seems to come down to that is gay, what do you want one of them for.....

I think it's due to the diverse nature of individuals that are attracted to this bbs.
I got a lot of flak for some of the mods on my car, mainly the scooby doo picture on the numberplate and the scooby foglight covers, but as I, and others in my defence said, it's my car, I can do whatever the heck I like to it, so sod everyone else.
It does annoy me too, when you're looking for constructive advice about something, be it car related or not, and you get totally unwanted and uneeded unconstructive advice.
If you ask about a type of MP3 player and someone says "that's crap" and then explains why, that's ok, they are making a constructive, and possibly factually correct comment, just saying "that's crap" is not exactly helpful to anyone, and to me would make the user in question seem like a bit of a fool for posting such an answer.

I know what you mean,there is a tremendous amount of crap around right now, hmm, think I've posted some of it, so am a bit of a hypocrite.
Sometimes it's like I'm in the playground at junior school, lots of "that's gay!", "My Dad is bigger than your Dad", "I can pish higher than you" type comments and arguments, and this from 'adults'

Boro it was your thread which made me finally post this but over the past couple of days I have been annoyed by useless annoying comments.
I myself have been quilty of this at times but when pointed out I usually just edit the post etc. but some people just take things to far.
