Have just spent the evening setting up thje new Sony 32inch widescreen tv (32fx68b). The picture through the DVD is fine, though the picture through Sky isn't as sharp as I would have expected for a 100Hz TV. The main thing is that the picture is too big for the screen, so that the time on Sky News can't be seen properly - just see the very bottom of it. The picture is no better, (slightly worse if anything) than we got on our 5 year old Samsung.
Is there some setup somewhere to let the Digibox thing (Grundig 2.41b) know what the TV is? I've faffed around with some of the settings which have made the pic a little better, though the size is still wrong and the picture is not as sharp as it should be. I'm assuming this is just a setup problem as the picture looks perfect via the DVD.
Found codes for the remote, but that worked okay anyway (never worked with the old TV).
Have tried looking on the internet and specifically here though you need to register to search, and it doesn't like any of my email addresses.
Can anyone suggest anything to try?
TIA.
