i have just witnessed what i believe to be one of the poorest films i have ever seen.
what a load of pretentious cack! sure, there was some nice camera work, but as for the narrative - rubbish.
i appreciate many films that are "weird", but that was truly awful.
i feel mugged! what waste of over two hours of my life.
please, someone concurr, before i cut my wrists!

His films are great, but people who expect to come away with more answers than questions are always going to be disappointed. One of my all time favourites is Wild at Heart with Nicholas Cage, it has a normal(ish) storyline but all the bonus weird bits aswell! ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Edit: UB - oops typo, yes thats the one - deeply disturbing!

mot my cuppa 'fraid.
have not seen the other films you mentioned.
i like the weird, but hat was a bit much for me, sort of made me cross!
i guess if you sit down and think about it there are some interesting ideas.
however, i did wonder when it was going to finish after a while!
the energy from the film keeps you watching.

Now look you lot - lay off David Lynch!.
If you like your films all linearly structured with a simple plot and a nice happy ending stick to your mainstream Hollywood pap.
If, however, you like to be challenged by a movie such that you end up seeing it again and again and thinking about it over and over then Mr. Lynch is your man.
Mulholland Drive I grant you is far from his best work and Dune left a lot to be desired (but then so did the book imho), but Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks, The Elephant Man and of course the second best film ever made Blue Velvet are nothing short of cinematic masterpieces.
OK - got it now?![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

ajm,
I know - it wasn't a statement meant to be taken literally.
Think of it more in the context of David Lynch than John Hughes and you'll be OK![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

Twin Peaks, absolutly classic series/film. Started off reasonably normal (well as normal as Lynch can be) then just started getting more & more random.
Used to watch it all the time, gonna start hunting for episodes on kazaa now
